September 9th, 2001, Rally Day, kicked off our new multimedia Christian Education program.  The sermon focused on Moses' journey to the Promised Land.  During the month of September, the children learned about the journey of Moses in the form of movies, arts and crafts, puppetry and computer animation.  To commemorate this new program, an ice cream sundae party was held on the front lawn of the church.

All of us at Townley Presbyterian Church offer our sincerest thanks to Maryjane Finne, Youth Minister; and to Anne Montferret and Lois Tangowski, Sunday School Coordinators.
"Sunday Morning at the Movies" is an opportunity for the children to view movies which relate to the month's biblical theme.  Popcorn is served.

Townley Presbyterian Church Presents...
Pathways to the Promised Land
June 9, 2002 was Church School Sunday, marking the end of a very successful year at Townley.  A special worship service was held by the Church School where they told about the lessons they had learned during the year.  They recited the Ten Commandments, told about Moses' journey to the Promised Land and sang songs.

Among the highlights of the service were:
Piano prelude by Erin Taylor
Trumpet and Drums by JT Kovac and Stephen Montferret
Rcitation by the children of the Ten Commandments
The Cherub and Carol Choirs sang
Puppets reinacting the bible stories
Presentations of bibles and certificates.

We all look forward with excitment to every year's Church School program.
The Cherub and Carol Choirs sing "Down in my Heart."
An illuminated map shows Moses' journey.
Following the worship service everyone was treated to hot dogs and ice cream on the front lawn.  As always, smiling faces.
